Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how information is handled when you use Free Mulch Calculator. It covers the calculator, supporting guides and any email enquiries you send to us.
Calculator inputs
Your garden measurements, mulch depth, bag sizes and prices are processed in your browser. The calculator does not send these inputs to a calculation server, require an account or save your plan in local storage or session storage. Closing or reloading the page normally clears the current inputs unless you reopen a shared plan link.
Shared links, copying and printing
When you use Share plan, your calculation inputs are encoded in the link’s URL fragment, the part after #. Anyone with that link can read and restore the plan. URL fragments are not included in normal HTTP requests to the hosting server, but your browser may retain the link in history, bookmarks or synced browsing data.
Copying a shared plan uses your clipboard after you select Share plan. Printing or saving a PDF uses your browser’s print feature. You control where you send links or store printed and saved copies. Do not include sensitive information in a plan you intend to share.
Cookies, advertising and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, including page views and interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about your browser, device and website activity. Learn more about Google's data practices in Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The calculator does not use cookies to remember inputs. The website does not currently include Google AdSense or other advertising scripts.
Hosting and technical information
Delivering the website requires your browser to connect to the hosting service. The hosting provider may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time for delivery, security and operational logging. Calculator inputs are not deliberately included in those requests. Log retention and access depend on the hosting provider’s configuration.
Email enquiries
If you email us, your email address, message and any attachments are processed through the email provider to receive and respond to your enquiry. Include only information needed to explain your question. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.
Messages may be retained as needed to answer your enquiry, investigate a reported problem and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us to ask about or request deletion of correspondence; we will consider the request under applicable requirements. We do not sell your calculator inputs or enquiry details.
External websites
Our guides link to gardening references and other websites. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy. We do not control the information collected by those services.
Your choices
You can use the calculator without an account or sending an email. Share a plan only with people you want to receive it, and use your browser controls to remove history or saved links when needed. Copies already received by other people remain under their control.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy when the website or its services change. The date above identifies the latest update. Material changes to data handling will be described in the revised policy.
